Our first visit is to a farm where we will see many alpacas, llamas, vicuñas and guanacos, and our guide will tell us about life on the farm. We will also learn (step by step) how Andean people still make very beautiful textiles using very old traditional techniques.
Next stop is Pisac, located right at the entrance to the Sacred Valley, this amazing Inca city constitutes one of the most important Archaeological Parks in the region. Visit the fine temples, palaces and the well preserved and vast farming terraces; these are built right to the edge of precipices, but still maintain their straight, sometimes vertical, aqueducts. They are an imposing and unforgettable sight in a stunning natural setting. After the ruins, our visit continues with the Pisac market where you will see the famous "Indian Market" as well as the handicrafts or "souvenirs" market; this is your chance to enjoy a blend of color, traditions and people, and bargain for exotic craftworks.
After a complete buffet lunch
After a complete buffet lunch at Urubamba Village, we will tour to the oldest continuously inhabited dwellings in South America, where people are still living in the same houses and palaces as 500 years ago. This is in the ancient Inca town of Ollantaytambo, with its very impressive constructions built with huge boulders and its ancient heritage that will leave us awestruck!
