the southern area of Cusoco played a very important role in the development of the great Inca state. This started with the emigration towards the south (Peruvian altiplano) which made possible the occupation of the valley of Cusco, the first inhabitants were the Marcavalles wh are considered as the oldest human civilization (1000 B.C) and who occupied the area of the same name, the Omas occupied the district of San Jeronimo and the Wari-Chankas, who made great gains in terms of irrigation and urban planning. This development can be seen at two archeological sites. We will enjoy our lunch on the way back to Cusco, to finish our tour at Andahuaylillas, a picturesque Andean town where the San Pedro church is found, known as the Sistine Chapel of America due to its impressive paintings and murals. Return to Cusco and transfer to hotel.
