We highly recommend this guide and company. Train tickets, entrance tickets, and all the paperwork were managed without error, and we had no issues with the trip. Again, we highly recommend.

star rating  Hike to Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain for my family of 8 - We've done a lot of traveling and booked a lot of guided tours, but Flavio was the best guide that we've ever had. Our family of 8 includes 6... read more teenagers. Yeah, spending four days with us can be pretty intense. EVERYONE in our group had a great time. It felt as though Flavio became a part of the family. We really missed him when our four days were up and we moved on to some other tours that we had pre-booked.

Also worth noting - Flavio's guidance on matters of lodging and food were nothing short of awesome. The accomadations that he provided as part of our trip were some of the best we had while in Peru.

star rating  Best hike to macchu picchu 2 days 1 night with my wife and son. - January 1 2020 my son and I did the 2 days 1 night hike to macchu picchu with Incaland adventures. Puma was our guide. Every step of the... read more adventure was executed so very well by Inca Land Adventures. From pickup at hotel at 4 am to k 108 stop on the train. Our guide Puma was the best, explaining everything along the way, the trees, animals and flowers and the Inca sites. Puma is a native Inca/Quechua. Puma walks with a steady pace from start to end. Always concerned about you the guest. We made the sun gate early afternoon. Sat and enjoyed the fantastic view of Macchu Picchu from the sun gate and then the rest of the site we were allowed to that day. The following day we visited inside Macchu Picchu with our great guide Puma.
Inca Land Adventures provided a packed lunch for the hike, placed us in one of the best hotels in Aguascalientes for the night with free breakfast the next day. We had dinner at the best restaurant and then lunch after Macchu Picchu the second day at the best restaurant with a great view of the raging river at Aguascalientes. We were then taken back to our hotel in Cusco. We search for the best Macchu Picchu tour guides and we found one of the best. IncaLandAdventures!! Great experience in Cusco Peru.

  • star rating  Searching for a guide in Peru? Look no further - Inca Land Adventures is one of the best outfits I’ve experienced in my international travels. Our guide answered every possible question about birds, plants, history, geography. There were three... read more of us on our private trip to Machu Picchu, one of us was seventy-six years old. Our guide Flavio and his crew quietly assessed everyone’s needs and made sure each of us was safe and comfortable and enjoying their adventure.

They are never intrusive and you always feel like you’re on your own unique adventure - but they are always ready with a safety net in case anything - anything - goes wrong. After it’s all over and your knees and legs are aching and you are in the comforts of your hotel room with your WiFi and hot water and cell phone, you’ll look back on this experience of a lifetime and realize that Flavio helped created it.

And the food... The food! If you’re not hungry, you will be when you smell the delicious treats his chef creates. I won’t go into details because I’m sure every trip is different but suffice it to say that three times a day, you will be presented with meals consisting of mouthwatering dishes (Meatballs! Creamy soups! Quinoa! Is that chocolate pudding for desert? Did they really surprise my husband by baking a BIRTHDAY CAKE at 15000 feet? Yes. Yes they did). I am an amateur chef and let me tell you: Flavio’s cook knows his sauces. There’s so much food, you will never ever go hungry - which is important if you’re trekking 26+ miles.

Don’t be fooled. On paper, the goal of this trek may be the site of Machu Picchu, but what you will remember won’t be the ruins of a lost Incan civilization. It will be the memories of the five days spent with a professional, funny, thoughtful, adventurous guide and his extraordinary staff of porters who will go out of their way to make this an unforgettable experience.

star rating  50th birthday party - Flavio and his team are the best you will find anywhere! The Inca trail is rough and you could literally spend your entire trip looking at nothing but your feet.... read more Flavio made sure that the journey was an experience by pointing out all the birds and flora along the way. It brought you out of yourself and any discomfort you were having just trying to breathe at 10000 plus feet. He made it a wonderful! He encouraged us every step of the way and made sure we had exactly what we needed. The food is excellent and enough to feed an army. And I even got a birthday cake the 3rd night since my 50th birthday was the next day. The porters are the kindest and most hard working people you will encounter. There aren't enough stars to rate this wonderful company!

Everything was... read more first class, from the food to the service to the tents and equipment. My kids are very picky eaters and loved almost everything! And food becomes very important when you are hiking several hours a day. They even baked a delicious cake on our last night and we still cannot comprehend how they did this! We developed a huge amount of trust and respect for Flavio and his staff who made our comfort and enjoyment their first priority. We learned so much from Flavio about the Incan sites, Incan/Spanish history, geology and his special passion for birds and wildlife. The weather is volatile, the hike is tough and you are camping. But we have no regrets for experiencing the incredible vistas using the Incan way of travel to get to MP.

star rating  5 days/ 4 nights hike to Machu Picchu - The hike was impressive. It was my first time taking on a hike of this magnitude. My friend and I did a private tour. We used Incalandadventures and they did... read more not disappoint. The guide is knowledgeable. He never rushed us and was always making sure we were hydrated, fed, comfortable and enjoying the hike. The cook?!!! Impressive!!!
Allow yourself 2 or 3 days in Cusco to get used to the altitude before going on your hike. I got altitude sickness(dizzy and nauseous) within 3 hours of landing. My friend got sick the following day.
Nights on the trail are cold ( mid 30’s ) we used hand-warmers inside our sleeping bags.
You’re walking all day for 6 to 8 hours. Pace yourself and make sure you’re wearing comfortable boots.
Layer up because temperature changes throughout the day.
Have plenty of water and toilet paper with you. I kept wet wipes on me at all times. There are bathrooms on the camping sites: most are filthy and the smell alone could kill you! enter if you dare! Forget showers. Our team provided a small container of warm water twice per day, for brushing teeth and bird baths.
You see some people on the trail but scattered. There are so many Inca sites on the trail and you get to enjoy them without the masses.
For rock collectors... I found the best rocks on the first two days. You also find pieces of quartz.
Every day has its challenges. DAY TWO of hiking IS THE MOST CHALLENGING DAY OF YOUR HIKE. Best advice: pace yourself. Stop when you need to and enjoy the scenery. It’s mainly downhill once you reach Dead Woman’s Pass. Breathtaking!

Overall: Take all the pictures you can! Enjoy the scenery! Do not rush your hike! Listen to your body. Pace yourself! Go in a small group, that way you can go at your own pace. Find a guide with great reputation. We came across several guides during our 3 week trip to Peru and they were inpatient and often rushing their groups. Lucky for us, we hired the same guide for all our adventures. Visited Rainbow Mountain, Inca Bridge, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Floating Islands of Uros, Sillustani, Taquile and Amantani Island. We also visited Lima (without the guide)

The Inka Trail trekking tour was very beautiful and not as demanding as I had expected, in fact it was rather easy for my 16 year old son and I, considering I started the trail with some stomach issues. The crew lead by Berly as a guide and Armando as the cook and pead porter was very professional, helpful, and attention to detail oriented. Everything worked out as planned managing to excede expectations.
    Great bunch of guys...
