ince June 1, 2024, the Ministry of Culture of Peru implemented three main Machu Picchu circuits, each composed of multiple routes that direct one-way flow through the citadel. You’ll select your circuit and route when booking your ticket — and once entered, you follow that path without backtracking. This system protects the site and ensures an orderly, memorable visit.

Circuit 1 — Panoramic Experience

Machu Picchu entry times and grace period

Each Machu Picchu ticket has a specific entry time, and visitors must enter within that time slot. The grace period is about 30 minutes; after that, you may lose your entry. This helps control visitor flow and protect the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
