Early morning departure from Cusco
Your Waqrapukara adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We travel south through the Andean highlands toward the Acomayo region, passing traditional villages and scenic landscapes along the way.
After reaching Pitumarca, we begin our hike toward Waqrapukara. The trail crosses rugged high-altitude terrain with impressive rock formations, small Andean lagoons and expansive mountain views.
After several hours of hiking, we arrive at our campsite near Waqrapukara. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening surrounded by the Andes.

Day 2 — Explore Waqrapukara – Santa Lucia – Cusco

After breakfast, your guide will lead you on a guided exploration of the archaeological complex. Learn about the site's architecture, terraces, ceremonial spaces and its relationship with the surrounding Andean landscape.
You will also have time to photograph the distinctive rock formations and the Apurimac Canyon before beginning the return hike.
After lunch, continue toward the meeting point and board our private tourist transportation for the journey back to Cusco.
