Throughout the journey, experienced local naturalist guides will help you discover the remarkable biodiversity of Manu while staying at carefully selected jungle lodges that provide comfort in the middle of the rainforest.
Manu Reserved Zone Amazon Tour 6 Days / 5 Nights
Day 1 – Cusco – Cloud Forest – Guadalupe Lodge
Your adventure begins early in Cusco as we travel east across the spectacular Andes. During the drive you'll pass traditional villages, beautiful mountain landscapes and fertile valleys before reaching the historic town of Paucartambo.
Continue climbing to Acjanaco Pass (3,550 m), the official entrance to Manu National Park. Here the scenery changes dramatically as the humid cloud forest appears, filled with orchids, tree ferns and waterfalls.
During today's wildlife exploration you may encounter:

Numerous hummingbirds
After lunch continue descending through the cloud forest until reaching Guadalupe Lodge.
In the afternoon enjoy a guided rainforest walk searching for monkeys, macaws, parrots and nocturnal wildlife.

Day 2 – Guadalupe Lodge – Atalaya Port – Casa Matsiguenka Lodge
Wake early for birdwatching before breakfast.
After breakfast continue toward Atalaya Port where you'll board a comfortable motorized canoe and begin navigating the Alto Madre de Dios River.
Wildlife viewing starts immediately as the riverbanks are home to:
Scarlet Macaws
Blue-and-yellow Macaws
Toucans
Hoatzins
Capybaras
Caimans
Several monkey species
Continue toward the confluence of the Manu River, entering the highly protected Manu Reserved Zone after park registration.
This stretch of river is among Peru's best locations for observing Jaguars.
Arrive in the afternoon at Casa Matsiguenka Lodge, located deep inside Manu National Park.
After dinner enjoy an optional night walk searching for frogs, tarantulas, insects and nocturnal mammals.

Day 3 – Manu Reserved Zone Exploration
Spend a full day exploring one of the world's richest ecosystems.

Day 4 – Casa Matsiguenka Lodge – El Dorado Lodge
After breakfast begin navigating downstream along the Manu River.
Keep your camera ready as this river section frequently rewards visitors with excellent wildlife sightings.
Along the journey you'll stop for a guided rainforest walk to admire enormous Kapok trees and untouched primary forest.
Following lunch continue by boat toward El Dorado Lodge.
Arrive during the afternoon and explore nearby forest trails searching for:

Monkeys
Toucans
Forest birds
Tropical insects
After dark, enjoy an optional visit to a mammal clay lick where tapirs and other mammals occasionally gather.

Day 5 – El Dorado Lodge – Pico de Oz Lodge
Start before sunrise with one of the highlights of the expedition—a spectacular visit to the Macaw Clay Lick, where dozens of Scarlet, Blue-and-yellow and Red-and-green Macaws gather to feed on mineral-rich clay, creating one of the Amazon's greatest wildlife spectacles.
After breakfast continue your journey by motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River while observing:

River Turtles
Monkeys
Arrive at Pico de Oz Lodge, beautifully situated beside pristine rainforest and ideal for afternoon wildlife exploration.
After settling into your rooms, enjoy an interpretive forest walk around the lodge searching for monkeys, colorful birds, frogs and butterflies before dinner.
An optional night excursion offers opportunities to observe nocturnal wildlife including owls, insects, amphibians and caimans.

Day 6 – Pico de Oz Lodge – Atalaya – Cusco
Enjoy one final early morning rainforest walk before breakfast while listening to the sounds of the awakening Amazon.
Following breakfast, return by boat to Atalaya Port before boarding private transportation back to Cusco.
During the return journey through the cloud forest there are additional opportunities to observe waterfalls, orchids and colorful birdlife.
Arrival in Cusco is expected around 4:00 pm.
